2026 May-Jun Pong On Wheels Table Tennis League Finals: Another Great Season!

The May-Jun Pong On Wheels Ping Pong League ended on Saturday, June 20, 2026, bringing to a close an action-packed 6 weeks season filled with growth, competition, and standout moments. Open division quickly evolved into a more dynamic structure, highlighting the league's increasing depth and competitive balance.


By finals, players were organized three (3) divisions, - Open A, Open B and Open C, with seeding based on their performance and attendance throughout the season. This format ensured fair, competitive matchups, giving every player the opportunity to face opponents at a similar level while keeping every match meaningful and hard-fought.  


With over 30 players competing, the league delivered intense rallies, close matches , and steady improvement across all divisions. Finals didn't just highlight top-tier play - they also reflected the sportsmanship, energy, and camaraderie that continue to define the Pong On Wheels community.


Here is a summary of the final matches. Let's dive in!


Open Division A:

In the Open Division A finals, competitors faced off in a double-elimination format to determine the Pong On Wheels Ping Pong League champion. Angel Lecuona emerged as the champion. - this is Angel's 1st championship, congratulations! Advaith Gautham claimed 2nd place, Ley Mech took 3rd, and Dennis Ochei rounded out the top 4.


In Open Division A Consolation event, Vijay Suriya secured 1st place, and Yu-Fung Leung came in 2nd place. Lance Rosemore ended in 3rd place, and Sam Lisook finished in 4th place.


Open Division B:

Soren Ene finished in 1st place, with Jontathan Kim coming in 2nd, Darwin Mech in 3rd, and Hui Chi (Rick) in 4th place.


Open Division B Consolation saw Manasi Nimkar take the top spot, with Sameer Mithani coming in 2nd. Karthik Govula secured 3rd place, while Bill Witten claimed 4th place.


Open Division C:

Paul Baker claimed the top position finishing 1st, with Tomy Ignatius taking 2nd place. Scott Forrest in 3rd, and John Wood in 4th place!


Open Division C Consolation saw Arjun Vijay finished in 1st place, with Forrest Michals coming in 2nd. And, Miki Snell secured 3rd place.


"Once again, seeing the league evolve from an Open division into three competitive, well-balanced divisions speaks volumes about the commitment and growth of every player involved. The intensity never dropped, the respect never wavered, and the sense of community only deepened with each passing week of the season,” noted Daniel Rutenberg of Pong On Wheels.

Hosted as a friendly, recreational, non-sanctioned table tennis league, the season welcomed players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Whether competing for the title or simply striving to improve, everyone came together around the same tables, united by a shared energy and genuine love for the game.
