2025 Aug-Sep Table Tennis League Finals Recap: Champions Crowned, Rivalries Settled!

The final week of the Aug–Sep Ping Pong League wrapped up today, Saturday, September 27, 2025, delivering an action-packed finish with thrilling matches across every division. Over the past 7 weeks, more than 30 players battled it out in the Youth, Seniors, and Open singles competitions.
Here is a summary of the final matches and highlights of the finals. Let's get started!
Seniors Division:
In the Seniors Open Division finals, competitors faced off in a double-elimination format to determine the Ping Pong League champion. Each player showcased exceptional skill, delivering powerful shots and impressive offensive and defensive plays throughout the matches.
In the Seniors Open Division, Bill Witten emerged as the champion. Scott Forrest claimed 2nd place, Randy Moon took 3rd, and Miki Snell rounded out the top 4.
In Division B, Forrest Michals secured 1st place, and Young Shin came in 2nd place.
Open Division:
In the Open Division, Ley Mech repeated once again as the league champion in the Open Division, with Layton Dai coming in 2nd, Henry Castillo in 3rd, and Sajan Dhakal in 4th place.
Division B saw Manasi Nimkar take the top spot, with Jonathan Kim coming in 2nd. Reena Dusad secured 3rd place, while Tomy Ignatius claimed 4th place.
Youth Division:
In the Youth Open Division, Darwin Mech claimed the top position finishing 1st, with Sreekar Mali taking 2nd place. Ashrith Mangisetti in 3rd, Aamna Periagraram in 4th, and Arjun Vijay finished in 5th place!
Most Improved Player: Scott Forrest
All players demonstrated significant improvement week after week as the result of their participation in the league. After 7 weeks of intense matches, Pong On Wheels awarded Scott the title of Most Improved Player (M.I.P.) for the 2025 Aug–Sep Ping Pong League. His progress and standout performance truly earned her this recognition. Congratulations, Scott!
